A man accused of robbing a Charleston bank pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Kanawha Circuit Court.
Joseph Dempsey, 31, is charged in connection with the robbery of the Fifth Third Bank on MacCorkle Avenue last June. He allegedly walked into the bank, ordered tellers to the floor and took off with a handful of money.
Dempsey remains in jail unable to post $150,000 bond for the bank robbery and other unrelated charges.
