Three Campbells Creek residents were arrested after they allegedly broke into a mobile home and stole a washer and dryer and other items, sheriff’s deputies said.
Sherry Ann Peyton, 38, of Bear Tracks Run, her daughter, Diva Peyton, 19, and Jeremy Light, 21, both of 7118 Campbells Creek Drive, were arrested about 9 a.m. Saturday and charged with daytime burglary, Capt. Sean Crosier of the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
Witnesses called police and said they saw three suspects break into the mobile home and steal items belonging to the homeowner. Deputies responded and caught up with the trio at 7118 Campbells Creek Drive, the release said.
The washer, dryer and miscellaneous items were recovered in the back of the suspects’ pickup truck. The items were returned to the victim.
The suspects were arraigned in Kanawha County Magistrate Court and placed in the South Central Regional Jail on a $10,000 bond.
