Police say Michael Eads, 20, of Hurricane has passed away after being hit by a train in Putnam County.
Eads was hit by a train as he was walking along railroad tracks Saturday near Hurricane High School. Eads was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
This is the same area where Jacob Ball, a student at Hurricane High School, was hit and killed by a train earlier this year.
Police say it is illegal to walk of railroad tracks in West Virginia and are urging people to stay off of them.
A person has been taken to the hospital after they were hit by a train in Putnam County.
Police say it happened Saturday afternoon near Hurricane High School.
