Police make three separate arrests while using informants to make drug buys.
Police arrested Leron M. Taylor, 33, Jamie L Thompson, 28, both from Ashland, and Leonard L. Gervin Jr., 28, of Cincinnati, Ohio, during two separate investigations.
On Monday, the Boyd County Sheriff's Department had an informant from the Drug Task Force purchase heroin from a residence on Roberts Drive in Ashland, a news release from the sheriff's department said. Police arrested Thompson and charged her with trafficking heroin. Gervin was charged with trafficking heroin. After a search, police said they found 35 grams of heroin with a street value of $14,000.
On Wednesday, the sheriff's department asked an informant to purchase crack cocaine from one residence in on Bath Avenue in Ashland. Police arrested Taylor and charged him with trafficking cocaine. Deputies also said they found a large amount of cash and marijuana.
All arrested were taken to the Boyd County Detention Center.
