Two organizations are looking for volunteers to help with disaster relief efforts in Nicholas County.
Catholic Charities is working with West Virginia Volunteers Active in Disasters to identify and coordinate efforts.
Authorities have said snow drifts in the county have approached 5 feet in some places, leading to roof collapses on an apartment complex, four businesses and three homes. No injuries were reported. Many of the apartment complex's 72 residents were taken to shelters.
Catholic Charities' West Virginia chapter said there's a critical need for volunteers, supplies and snow removal equipment in the county.
