The weather may have played a role in the change of venue for a groundbreaking ceremony at Marshall University, but it didn't stop those involved from celebrating.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the new engineering complex was moved indoors on Monday. The four-story facility will be named the Arthur Weisberg Family Applied Engineering Complex. The Weisberg family pledged a large gift to Marshall to help pay for the new complex.
The engineering complex will house several classrooms, laboratories and offices. The facility will be located by the Robert C. Byrd Biotechnology Science Center on Third Avenue in Huntington. It will take 28 months to complete the $50 million complex.
