Huntington police make an arrest in connection with an abandoned building fire.
Vinson R. Higginbothan, 27, of Huntington was charged with first-degree arson, according to a news release from the Huntington Police Department.
The Huntington Fire Department responded to a fire at 1353 Charleston Ave. about 8 a.m. Wednesday. The fire was extinguished quickly, which prevented nearby homes from being damaged. During an investigation, neighbors were able to identify a suspect.
Police said Higginbothan admitted responsibility for the fire.
