A man convicted of molesting a female relative was sentenced for incest Wednesday in Kanawha Circuit Court.
Dean Kinder was accused of an assault that occurred in Belle in 2001. He was sentenced to five to 15 years in prison and 15 years of supervised release when he gets out of prison. Kinder also must register as a sex offender.
The alleged victim, now a teenager living out of state, reported the abuse in 2011. According to the criminal complaint, the abuse happened when the girl was 6 years old.
