Fire destroyed a Lincoln County home early Wednesday morning.
It happened along Route 34 in the Hamlin area.
Firefighters said the fire and smoke were so severe that it took crews from Lincoln and Putnam counties nearly an hour to get it under control.
Luckily, no one was home at the time.
Investigators think a space heater that was hooked up in the kitchen could be to blame.
