An Ohio man is accused of sexually abusing a teenager more than 20 years ago.
David Heater, 58, of Belpre was arrested Monday and charged with felony sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, custodian or person of trust, the Parkersburg Police Department said.
Heater allegedly visited his family and the victim at their Parkersburg home between 1984 and 1988. During these visits, Heater allegedly engaged in sexual acts with the victim, police said.
Heater posted a $5,000 bond and was released later on Monday.
If he is convicted, Heater could face a minimum of 10 years and up to as many as 20 years in jail.
