A Charleston man was arrested by Kanawha County sheriff’s deputies for allegedly stabbing another man with a pair of scissors, authorities said.
Bryan A. Taylor was charged with malicious wounding following an incident that occurred 10 p.m. Monday in Cedar Grove, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office.
Cpl. M.A. Huddleston went to a residence at 100 Depot Hill Road to investigate a disturbance call. When he arrived, he found Anthony Williams, 33, of Cedar Grove being treated by paramedics for multiple slash and stab wounds around his neck and back.
The Glasgow Police Department had already detained the suspect. The release said the deputy recovered a pair of scissors that he believed to be the weapon used in the stabbing and determined the two men were acquaintances and an argument earlier in the day culminated in the physical fight.
Williams was transported to Charleston Area Medical Center General Hospital. A hospital spokesman said Tuesday he was treated and released. Taylor was taken into custody and remains lodged in the South Central Jail, awaiting arraignment.
