Utilities met with the Public Service Commission Monday morning to review how they handled this past summer’s severe storms.
Representatives from Appalachian Power and other utilities discussed what went right and what went wrong in the weeks following the June 29 derecho and subsequent storms.
More than half a million people across the state had no power – many for more than a week.
The purpose of the meeting was to help utilities be better prepared for future storms.
