One man was taken to jail after investigators said he hit a police cruiser and then kept going.
Mark Huffman, 42, of Critz, Virginia was driving along U.S. 60 in front of the St. Albans Mall Saturday evening when he hit a cruiser that was on the side of the road helping the driver of a disabled vehicle, St. Albans police said.
One officer was in the cruiser, but was not hurt. Police said they chased down Huffman and arrested him, but before they could take him to jail, he passed out in the back of the cruiser. Huffman was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Huffman is charged with fleeing while DUI, DUI, leaving the scene, and carrying a concealed weapon. He remains in South Central Regional Jail on $15,000 bond.
