West Virginia American Water has issued a precautionary boil water advisory for 300 customers in the Salt Rock area.
Crews say they are trying to repair a broken water main.
The affected areas include Raccoon Creek, Beech Fork Road, Bowen Creek Road, Brinnager Road, Fire Tower Road, Nicely Road, Grassy Lick Road and Goodman Branch Road and those who are on the inter-connections with the Lavalette PSD.
Customers should boil their water for one minute before cooking, drinking, cleaning, bathing and brushing teeth.
