PEDESTRIAN HIT Child Hit By Car While Getting Off School Bus

An 8-year-old Summersville girl is recovering in the hospital after she was hit by a car while getting off a school bus Friday afternoon.
According to the Department of Education, the Summersville Elementary student was getting off the bus when the driver of a car failed to stop when the bus flashed its red lights and its stop arm was extended.
The girl suffered a broken leg and foot.
The driver's name has not been released and no word on what charges he will face.
