A man is accused of stealing and forging checks from an elderly man.
Police arrested Stephen J. Crowe, 45, of Minford, Ohio, on Wednesday. Detectives had been working on a case involving an 83 year-old man who had checks stolen and forged, according to a news release from Scioto County Sheriff Marty Donini.
Detectives presented evidence of bank records to the Scioto County grand jury, the release said.
Crowe is charged with theft, receiving stolen property and three counts of theft from the elderly. Crowe is being held without bond and will appear in court at a later date.
