A pastor in Gallia County, Ohio, was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a female teenager who he taught in church.
David Young was arrested on Tuesday at the Simpson Chapel United Methodist Church in Rio Grande, where he was a pastor, a news release from Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine said. Police accuse Young of sexually assaulting a teenager, age 13 or 14, who was attending a class he taught at the church. Young is charged with one count of unlawful sexual contact with a minor.
Authorities are not releasing how many incidents they believe occurred or where the alleged incidents took place, but they are warning the community that there might be more victims.
Agents with the Crimes Against Children Unit assisted the Gallia County Sheriff's Office in the arrest.
Young is being held at the Gallia County Jail. The case will go to a grand jury for further review.
