Four people charged in a HealthNet embezzlement scheme pleaded guilty Monday morning in Kanawha Circuit Court.
Meredith Collier, the former director of accounting for HealthNet Aeromedical Services, and her husband, John, pleaded guilty to attempted embezzlement. Tina Vance and Mark Vance pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit petit larceny charge, a misdemeanor. They appeared before Kanawha Circuit Judge Carrier Webster.
The Colliers face up to one to three years in prison, and the Vances face up to a year in prison when all are sentenced Dec. 6.
In 2011, Meredith Collier was arrested for writing checks to herself, her husband and her friends, totaling $50,000.
