Neighbors helped Leman Hatfield mark his first birthday, his 101st birthday that is, Thursday night. The retired chemical industry worker still lives independently in his Cross Lanes duplex town home. He credits good food from his farm upbringing in Ritchie County and clean living for keeping him around since 1911.
