SECURITY AND SAFETY Charleston Event To Promote Home Security, Safety

Home security and safety will be promoted at an event this weekend in Charleston as part of a partnership between the Charleston police and fire departments and local businesses.
Project Safe and Secure is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Dollar General Store, 1555 Washington St. E.
At the event, residents can obtain home fire safety tips, home security tips, free smoke/fire detectors, free carbon monoxide detectors and free window/door alarms.
The event, sponsored during National Fire Safety Week, is an opportunity to learn how to make your home secure and safe.
