A couple was arrested after State Police said they found a meth lab in a camper in Elkview.
April Holmes, 29, of Elkview and John Wyne, 41, of Falling Rock were charged with conspiracy and operating a clandestine drug lab about 10 p.m. Monday, according to a criminal complaint filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.
State Police said when they arrived at a campsite on Jordan Creek Road in Elkview they smelled the strong odor of meth coming from a camper. They received permission from the owner to search the camper and found meth-making items, the complaint said.
Holmes told State Police the couple had been staying at the camper about two weeks, the complaint said.
Holmes and Wyne are lodged in the South Central Regional Jail.
