Kentucky State Police have arrested a fugitive they were seeking in connection with a brutal assault.
Ty Jacob Doolen, 26, of Rush, Ky., was arrested during a traffic stop Monday after officers received a tip that the suspect was operating a vehicle on KY 1458 in the area of KY Route 5, according to a news release from State Police.
Doolen was being sought in connection with an assault that occurred Sunday in Rush, Ky., State Police said. When troopers arrived, a female victim at the home was unconscious with multiple injuries. The woman was transported to Cabell Huntington Hospital where she is listed in critical condition.
Doolen has been charged with first-degree assault and is lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center.
