The Pikeville Police Department in Kentucky is now investigating a murder after a man's body was found on Sunday.
The body of Ricky Coleman, 50, of Pikeville was discovered on Adams Lane, a news release from the Pikeville Police Department said. An autopsy by the state medical examiner determined that Coleman died from gunshot wounds.
Detectives with the Pikeville Police Department are asking anyone with any information on the investigation to call 606-437-5111.
Police in Pikeville, Ky., are determining if there was a crime when a man's body was discovered on Sunday.
Police received a call around 4:45 p.m. about a man that was possibly dead on Adams Lane in Pikeville, according to a news release from the Pikeville Public Safety Department. The body was sent to the State Medical Examiner's office to determine the cause of death, the release said.
The name of the victim is not being released at this time. The Kentucky State Police are assisting in the investigation.
