Five-Vehicle Crash Claims Life Of 91-Year-Old Woman; Several People Injured

Lavista, Fayette , West Virginia
A 91-year-old woman was killed and several people were injured in a five-vehicle crash in the Lavista area of Fayette County.
The elderly woman died at the scene of the accident that occurred at 2 p.m. Saturday on U.S. Route 60, according to a news release from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department.
Carl Cox, 50, of Edmond was the driver of a Chevy Tahoe that was involved in the wreck. He was under evaluation at Charleston Area Medical Center's General Hospital, a spokeswoman said.
The driver of a Chevy Impala involved in the accident was a 63-year-old male from Kentucky, who remains in critical condition at CAMC. A female who was a front-seat passenger in that vehicle remains hospitalized at CAMC in stable condition. The elderly woman who died was a rear-seat passenger in the same vehicle. She was from Kentucky, and her name has not been released pending notification of family members.
The driver of a Ford Fusion involved in the collision was identified as Timothy Elkins, 51, of Ravenswood. He was not injured. A passenger in his vehicle, Stacie Mullins, 42, of Ravenswood, was treated for minor injuries at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill and was released.
The driver of a Jeep involved in the crash was identified as Emily Zann, 21, of Pittsburgh. She was not injured.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Chevy Trailblazer involved in the wreck was identified as Ray Kincaid, 53, of Levasy. He was not injured.
No criminal charges have been filed. The accident remains under investigation.
