There was a homecoming celebration in Charleston Friday evening.
The University of Charleston held its homecoming parade on campus. Family, friends, and alumni lined the streets.
Athletic teams and school and city organizations joined in on the celebration.
"[University of Charleston] used to have a football program and we had to do away with it for a while. And it's come back and it's stronger than ever. And we decided that the parade needed to come back too," said parade coordinator, Mackenzie Mize.
