One man is dead after a shooting in Floyd County, Ky.
It happened Thursday on Henry's Branch in the Martin Community, according to a news release from the Kentucky State Police.
Troopers received a call about a shooting, but before they could respond, the victim was transported to the hospital for his injuries. Willis Martin Sparks was taken to St. Joseph Hospital in Martin where he later died. The man who drove him, William David Gregory, told police he was involved in an altercation with Sparks, the release said. Gregory was admitted to the hospital for his injuries that he had during the fight.
It is unknown at this time if any charges will be filed. The incident is still under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
