The executive director of the Huntington Area Food Bank has resigned after two years in the position.
Food Bank Board President Stanley Mills said Leigh Anne Zappin gave a letter of resignation to the board last week.
The Herald-Dispatch reports Zappin started working at the food bank in 2008 and was promoted to interim director when the previous director was released. She was named executive director in fall 2010.
Mills said Tiffany Tatum has been named interim director while a search is under way for a full-time director.
Last year, the nonprofit food bank's warehouse distributed more than six million pounds of food to organizations helping the needy in 17 counties in Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia.
