A disabled veteran is shot, and now his family wants whomever is responsible caught. It all happened around midnight on Wednesday Lane in Clendenin. Tedd Nicholson says his father, 60 year old Robin White heard a noise on his porch and went outside to see what it was. When he opened the door, he saw a man standing there. White asked that man what he was doing, and suddenly that man pushed him to the ground and then shot him in the leg and then ran off. White called his son who rushed to the home to help. ** Kanawha County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a shooting in Clendenin in which a man said he was shot on his front porch by an intruder. Robin White, 60, of Wednesday Lane told deputies he was awakened by his dogs barking, and he went outside he encountered a white male in his late 30s or early 40s with an unshaven face, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office. He said the man pushed him down and shot him in the leg with an unknown type of firearm, the release said. The suspect then fled, and White phoned a nearby relative to transport him to Charleston Area Medical Center General Hospital. Deputies were called to CAMC after White told medical personnel he had been shot. White was treated and released. The shooting remains under investigation.
