Fall forest fire season runs through Dec. 31, and the West Virginia Division of Forestry is reminding residents about prohibited burning hours.
Forestry officials said the only type of burning that is allowed is leaves, brush and yard clippings.
Burning is prohibited from the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is only allowed between the hours of 5 p.m. and 7 a.m.
Forestry officials also remind there should be a 10-foot safety strip and that anyone who is burning should stay at the site of the fire until it is completely extinguished.
