Kentucky State Police are investigating an accident involving a tractor-trailer and a car that left one person dead.
It happened about 2:30 p.m. Friday on Interstate 64 in the eastbound lanes near the 161 exit in Olive Hill at the KY 1704 underpass.
The eastbound lanes are closed while crews clean up the accident and Kentucky State Police investigate.
Traffic is being detoured at Exit 156 along KY 2 to U.S. 60 east and returning to I-64 at Exit 161. Westbound traffic should not be affected but motorists are asked to drive with caution.
