Marcellus Shale had the community gather at Mary C. Snow West Side Elementary for a forum Thursday evening.
Things kicked off with a banquet around 5:00pm providing those who came out with refreshments and entertainment and a networking session.
The goal of the forum is to educate people on Marcellus Shale and opportunities within the gas and oil industry.
Mountaineer Energy and American Petroleum Institute put on the event. Area community and technical colleges were also present to promote future courses that could benefit those interested in careers at Marcellus Shale.
