Troopers said they found rifles that were stolen from an American Legion Post during while arresting a couple on unrelated warrants.
On Sept. 12, troopers arrested Josh McKee and Amanda Spencer in Fleming County on felony warrants, according to a news release from Kentucky State Police. While arresting them, Trooper N. Robinson noticed six M1 Grand rifles in the home, the release said.
After a two-week investigation, Robinson discovered the rifles belonged to the American Legion Post #236 in Calvert City, Ky. The rifles were used by the Honor Guard and are valued at more than $10,000.
McKee and Spencer are charged with receiving stolen property with additional charges pending from Marshall County, Ky.
