Kentucky State Police are investigating a two-car accident that left two women dead.
Pamela Carroll, 53, and Sharon Moore, 62, both of Olive Hill, Ky., died in the wreck that occurred about 7 a.m. Thursday on Route 2 in Olive Hill, according to a news release from the Kentucky State Police.
State Police said Carroll's car crossed the center line and struck Moore's car head-on. Carroll was pronounced dead at the scene. Moore was taken to Cabell Huntington Hospital where she later died.
Police said visibility was limited because it was foggy. Both women were wearing their seat belts and alcohol does not appear to be a factor. The accident is still under investigation by State Police.
