Three people were jailed after detectives said they discovered a heroin trafficking organization during a traffic stop.
Antonio L. Spikes, 23, Antwon L. Criswell, 31, and Desmond A. Jenkins, 24, all of Cincinnati, Ohio, were arrested Monday evening, according to a news release from the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office. Each is charged with two counts of possession of drugs and is being held on a $40,000 bond.
The arrests came about 8 p.m. after a "high risk" traffic stop on U.S. 52 East in West Portsmouth, Scioto County Sheriff Marty Donini said. That's where task force detectives said they discovered about 160 grams of suspected heroin and about 75 grams of crack cocaine. Detectives believe the men were headed to the Portsmouth and Scioto County areas with the drugs.
The three were set to be arraigned in Portsmouth Municipal Court on Tuesday morning.
