The crime rate in Huntington is at its lowest point in a few decades.
According to report conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation crime statistics for the past three years -- are at the lowest point since 1985.
City officials said violent crime and property crime are down by nearly 40% which is a record.
Officials give credit for the drop to the Huntington Police Department, along with a joint effort by West Virginia State Police, Cabell County Sheriff's Department and the FBI.
