Ashland Police Investigating Bank Robbery

Police are investigating a bank robbery in Ashland, Ky.

The Town Square Bank along Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard was robbed about 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Authorities said a man entered the bank, displayed a weapon, took cash from a teller and fled the bank on foot. Police have been talking to witnesses.

He was described as about 6 feet inches tall and is a white male with a slim build. The suspect was wearing black pants, a black shirt and a black toboggan and had a scarf covering his face.

Police said the robber used a handgun of undetermined caliber to commit the crime. No injuries were reported.
