A Charleston man was indicted by a federal grand jury for illegal possession and distribution of prescription drugs.
Maurice Minter, 26, allegedly distributed a quantity of oxycodone on Aug. 1, 2011, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office. The indictment also alleges that on Aug, 5, 2011, Minter distributed a quantity of oxymorphone, also known as "Opana." A third count in the indictment alleges that on Aug. 5, 2011, Minter possessed with intent to distribute a quantity of oxycodone and oxymorphone.
The investigation was conducted by the Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Network Team. Assistant United States Attorney Haley Bunn is in charge of the prosecution.
