KANAWHA CLEANUP Dates, Locations Announced For Kanawha County Fall Cleanup

Fall cleanup dates and locations have been announced for Kanawha County.
The Kanawha County Planning and Development Office said there will be a site set up on Call Road off the Tuppers Creek exit in Sissonville Sept. 29; one behind the Go-Mart in Cabin Creek Oct. 13; and another at the Rehab Center in Institute Oct. 27.
Items that will be accepted at those sites include accumulated solid waste, large appliances, air conditioners and as many as 10 tires with a valid West Virginia identification. Other recyclables that will be accepted include newspapers, junk mail, all metals, car batteries, electronics and plastics.
Items that will not be accepted at any of those sites include gas or propane tanks, hazardous waste (such as meth-making materials), paint, chemicals and motor oil.
