A man is charged with wanton endangerment after police say he allegedly fired off about a couple dozen shots at a home in Wood County early Wednesday morning.
Shaun Michael Linko, 25, of Parkersburg was arrested during a traffic stop near I-77 and Route 50 a short time after the incident.
The shooting was reported about 2 a.m. in the 1100 block of Lynn Street in Parkersburg.
That's where officers found nearly 24 bullet casings from an assault rifle. No one lived inside that residence, but police say a water line was damaged after a round apparently went through three walls before hitting the pipe.
Linko was arraigned in Wood County Magistrate Court and remains in jail on $50,000 dollars bond.
Parkersburg Police are investigating an early morning shooting Wednesday.
It happened at a home in the 1100 block of Lynn Street about 2 a.m. Officers found nearly 24 bullet casings from an assault rifle at the scene.
A landlord for the property told police that the tenants had recently moved out, and that the residence was vacant at the time of the shooting.
Police say a water line was damaged after a round apparently went through three walls before hitting the pipe.
The investigation is ongoing and police have at least two persons of interest in the case.
