A former Ashland fire captain is recovering in the hospital after being stabbed during a road-rage incident.
Ashland Police Department Maj. Todd Kelley said Patrick Steele, a retired fire captain, was stabbed Sunday evening.
Kelley said that Steele was riding his motorcycle when another man, Dewey Greear, mistook Steele as one of his friends and drove by him. Steele followed Greear to his house when police said the two got into a fight. Police said Greear stabbed Steele in the stomach with a pocket knife.
Steele was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center for his injury. Greear was taken to the hospital for a medical condition.
