EYE ON WEATHER Flood Watch Continues For Most of Eyewitness News Viewing Area

Small streams, creeks and low-lying roads were being monitored as a flood watch continued for most of the Eyewitness News viewing area until 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Rain began falling about noon in some spots of the region Monday afternoon, and it really hasn’t stopped since. The region could pick up an additional 1 to 1.5 inches of rains in the spots that will see rain repeatedly early today. Generally, between a quarter to a half inch of rain will fall in most spots.

There is a weather watch in the Eyewitness News viewing area for a storm that could bring as much as 2 inches of rain Tuesday morning.
The heaviest rain could occur about 7 a.m. Tuesday and pose problems for motorists on area roadways.
The rain possibility goes through Tuesday and early Wednesday morning.
