An early morning accident in Cabell County caused a power outage and a school to close on Monday.
Cabell County dispatchers said it happened about 6 a.m. on Route 10 in Huntington when a vehicle hit a utility pole. Power was knocked out to the area and Appalachian Electric Power crews responded to the scene.
Cabell County Schools had to close Hite-Saunders Elementary for the day as a result of the power outage.
No one was injured in the accident.
