KENTUCKY GUARD DEATHS Two Kentucky National Guard Members Killed In Wreck

Kentucky National Guard officials confirmed that two of their soldiers were killed in a single-car wreck while on a training assignment in North Dakota.
Sgt. Ronald J. Forsyth, 31, a resident of Ryland Heights, Ky., and Spc. Jason S. Burnette, 23, a resident of Manchester, Ky., died in the accident that occurred in Devil's Lake, according to a news release from the Guard.
Two other Kentucky Guard members were injured in the accident. They were treated at the local hospital and released.
"The entire Kentucky National Guard Family is grieving for the loss of these two soldiers," said Maj. Gen. Edward W. Tonini, Kentucky's adjutant general. "This is a reminder of how precious life is. Our prayers go out to their families and their fellow soldiers. Sgt. Forsyth and Spc. Burnette were
valued members of our team, and they will be missed by us all."
Burnette was a member of the 207th Horizontal Engineer Company out of Hazard while Forsyth was a member of the 118th Engineer Equipment Supply Platoon based in Walton. The two were taking part in military training at Camp Grafton Training Center, N.D.
The two soldiers were on military orders for engineer-related training at Camp Grafton Training Center, N.D. The investigation into the cause of the accident is being handled by local authorities in North Dakota.
