A Charleston police officer was being checked at a hospital for a possible concussion, and another person also was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Corridor G.
Officer J.T. Dotson went to the hospital to be evaluated following the crash at the Oakwood Road intersection, city police said. Officers said the driver of the truck failed to yield and hit the cruiser. The cruiser was a K-9 unit, but the dog appeared to be OK.
Police said they believed that Dotson would be OK. The driver of the truck was not hurt, but his passenger was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
