Clinton Eads has been released from police custody, sheriff Joe Browning said.
Sheriff deputies released him based on information obtained from an interview.
The case has now been turned over to the Gallia County Prosecutors office.

A man is suspected of shooting his father in Gallia County, Ohio, deputies said.
A sheriff’s deputy said Clinton C. Eads is suspected of shooting his father, Jerry S. Eads. The father was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital, where he is in stable condition.
The shooting happened Friday near Rio Grande.
Gallia County, Ohio, sheriff’s deputies have identified the suspect and the victim in a domestic violence-related shooting.
Clinton C. Eads is the suspect, the sheriff’s office said. The victim is Jerry S. Eads. He was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital.
The shooting happened Friday near Rio Grande.
Gallia County, Ohio, sheriff’s deputies are on the scene of a domestic violence-related shooting near Rio Grande.
One man is in custody, and another male has been transported from the scene by Gallia County Emergency Services, according to a news release from the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded about 9:40 a.m. to the shooting in the 2600 series of State Route 325 in Raccoon Township just north of Rio Grande. Both the victim and suspect were located at the scene.
Gallia County Sheriff Joe Browning said deputies secured the scene. More details will be released later Friday as the investigation continues.
