Kick off your shoes, have a good time, and enjoy some West Virginia wine at the 21st Annual Kirkwood Winery Grape Stompin' Festival this weekend. The two-day event happens Saturday and Sunday at the winery located in Summersville. The festival, which is traditionally held the third weekend in September, features live music, food, arts and crafts and wine tastings throughout the day. The winery's featured wine flavors include Black Satin Blackberry, Mountain Blueberry, Red Currants, Concord Stomp, Red Raspberry, Wild Elderberry, Cherry, Golden Peach, Dandelion and Moonglow Pear. Events for the children include face painting, horses and covered wagon rides and bounce house fun. Prizes also will be given away throughout the day including a whitewater rafting trip. According to the winery's webpage (http://www.kirkwood-wine.com/) adults 21 years and older can get into the festival for $10, that includes a complimentary glass for wine tasting. Attendees 12-21 years of age get in for just $5, and children ages 12 and under get in free.
