A Scioto County man was sentenced Thursday to life in prison without parole for a brutal murder back in March.
Detectives said Raymond Linkous of Wheelersburg beat Felipe Lopez with a hatchet and then stabbed him repeatedly. They said Linkous then set Lopez’s truck on fire. Prosecutors said a dispute over drugs led to the murder.
A jury found Linkous guilty Thursday morning, and the judge sentenced him in the afternoon.
