Kanawha County school officials say it looks like only about a dozen students will find themselves barred for a few days from attending classes because they lack required immunizations.
Students taking advantage of a special walk-in clinic at the Kanawha-Charleston Health Department cut those numbers from about 50. There were new shot requirements for seventh-graders and high school seniors this year.
About 150 families statewide are involved in a legal effort to block the shots for religious reasons.
