Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin presented more than $1 million Wednesday to dozens of arts groups to help expand their programs.
Tomblin presented the grants to 45 organizations across the state Wednesday morning at the state Capitol.
Prizes range from around $800 for small heritage and preservation organization to more than $90,000 for the Clay Center for Arts and Sciences in Charleston and the Oglebay Institute in Wheeling.
The recipients are selected by the West Virginia Commission on the Arts.
