A man pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter Wednesday in Kanawha Circuit Court.
Donald Raines is accused in the death of Jerry Baldwin, who was killed on Mary Street. Police said Raines shot and killed Baldwin after spotting Baldwin with his ex-girlfriend. Family members of Baldwin were upset a grand jury failed to indict Raines for murder.
Raines faces three to 15 years in prison when he is sentenced. The state is asking for a sentence of five years. Sentencing is set for Nov. 9.
